2014 BEEP Week: Preparing Students for a Successful Summer

A Webinar Series to Provide Students

with the Tools to Make the Most of their Summer Opportunity

The National Urban League’s Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) has provided generations of students with career exposure and mentorship for over four decades through partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) via on campus activities, virtual support, and leadership development conferences.  In an effort to provide students with more robust and continuous content, BEEP has convened various student webinars hosted by corporate partners like Peace Corps, Fannie Mae, and Teach for America. These webinars have covered professional development and career awareness and were specifically designed to benefit college students as they build their academic careers, explore internships, and seek future employment.

In 2014, BEEP is adding another element to the webinar content already provided, BEEP Week. BEEP Week will be an annual webinar series for students to gain access to advice from their peers, industry experts, and recent graduates on professional development tips that they can apply immediately. This BEEP Week webinar series is specifically tailored for student to maximize their summer opportunities with techniques on building relationships, maintaining professional etiquette, and turning a part-time or temporary opportunity into a full-time job.
